What is olympic weightlifting?

The two disciplines of snatch and clean & jerk are to be found in many training programs because of their use of power and speed. Therefore, this training method is very important for classic athletic training. The Olympic weightlifting is not only about the muscle power or the senseless use of force, but the perfection of technique.

structure of the lesson

General barbell warm-up

Your joints will be moved in all directions for 10 minutes with the empty barbell.

Theme-specific warmup

During another 10-20 minutes, the snatch or clean & jerk is specifically addressed - you learn (even with the empty barbell) the optimal technique in a slow pace.

Main part

In the last 20-30 minutes, the weight is (voluntarily) increasing and more repetitions with fixed percentages are going to be done.
